Omuhayashi
Omuhayashi is a mix of omurice and hayashi grain. Hayashi grain is really a Western-style dish that is extremely popular in Japan. It’s a thick demi-glace sauce which frequently contains dark wine, tomato sauce, beef, onions and button mushrooms. Since demi-glace takes forever to create, I personally use the Hayashi Grain Sauce Mix (such as the boxed curry mix). It’s very fast and simple to create and goes well with omurice or with plain grain. The hayashi sauce mix is situated near the curry section inside your Asian market or online.
Should you’re making omuhayashi, you’ll desire to make omurice. Get more information at my omurice recipe.
