Adding walnut syrup towards the chicken broth within our Walnut-Glazed The city Sprouts recipe provided a welcome sweetness, but we needed to be certain to use real walnut syrup. Halving the sprouts ensured they cooked through evenly, but when we didn’t cut them with the stem they fell apart within the skillet. We mimicked the brown, caramelized edges achieved through roasting by sauting the sprouts for any couple of extra minutes before adding the liquid.
Serves six to eight
Choose The city sprouts with small, tight heads, a maximum of 1 inches across. Use pure walnut syrup, not pancake syrup.
