Ingredients for Gujarati Moong Dal Vada :
1 cup Dhuli Moong Dal (Split Eco-friendly Gram)
2-3 taters, steamed
1 table-spoon ginger root, minced (Adrak)
2-3 eco-friendly chillies, chopped
1 t-spoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
a pinch all of asafoetida and sodium bicarbonate
eight to ten coriander leaves, finely chopped (Dhaniya patta)
Oil for frying
salt to taste
Steps to make Moong Dal Vada :
- Peel taters and mash them correctly. Bare this mixture aside.
- Soak Moong dal in water for 4-5 hrs. Drain water and coarsely grind moong dal with little water.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients for this batter together with mashed taters and blend them correctly with hands. Add little water as needed. The batter ought to be of appropriate consistency to create Moong dal vadas.
- Inside a medium size pan heat oil to deep fry vadas. Take a number of vada batter and provide it a round shape. Deep fry wada in oil at medium heat till golden brown from each side.
- Serve Gujarati Moong Dal Vada hot with chutney.
