Murukku recipe kerala style house

This can be a special kind of murukku that is famous in Kerala. This recipe doesn't use gram flour or Maida, so it's slightly harder and crispier than other murukkus. However this will get the authentic taste of Kerala murukku which we accustomed to eat within our childhood

  • Grain powder. 1 Cup
  • Water. 3/4 Cup
  • Salt. 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder. 1-2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida(Kayam): 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds(Ellu). 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil. For frying

Preparation:

Step1. Use idiyappam grain Powder. Preparation are available in my idiyappam recipe.

Step2: Mix well grain powder, salt, chilli powder (if you want spicy, add 2 teaspoons or a little more), asafoetida and sesame seeds and blend well. Add water making a dough.

Step3. Have a mould as proven within the picture below and fill the dough inside it. Turn the very best handle making a murukku pattern beginning in the group of friends.

Step4: Have a pan on heat and add oil for deep frying. Once it's hot, place the murukku in it and lower heatOrfire to low.
