- 2 cups drenched moong dal
- salt when needed
- two tablespoons red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon haldi powder
- 1 teaspoon toasted cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
- two tablespoons water
- vegetable oil for frying

- Grind drenched moong dal inside a mixture grinder. Pour it inside a bowl, add salt, red chili and haldi powders. Mix well.
- Now add cumin and carom seeds. Mix and add little water if needed. This mix ought to be little thick.
- Heat an in-depth fry pan with oil, and meanwhile, make small balls of the mixture.
- Deep fry the balls in herbal.
- Serve with pudina chutney.
