I've been waiting with patience to taste and review Darcy’s Recipes to Riches Choc Bombs, saving them like a publish uni exam reward. Since exams are very well and truly over, today may be the day-to have a look! Even though they were only intended to be in the shops for just one week, I had been still capable of finding a little pile of boxes hidden on the shelf inside my local Woolies this weekendwhich leads me to my first product review!
To begin with, the cost. Inside my gym, they offer one protein ball for $3. Although Choc Bombs most likely don’t have just as much protein inside them, a box of 5 was costing $5.99, making each ball only $1.20! That alone will get a large tick from me.
I truly loved the attention catching packaging, and also the fact each ball was individually wrappedmaking it the right snack on the run. When using the Choc Explosive device from the packet, I had been amazed at just how carefully it looked towards the image around the boxanother big tick from me.
The Choc Explosive device was great in dimensions along with a filling snack, but to tell the truth, it sampled ‘just okay’. The flavours were missing for me personally, possibly the name ‘Choc Explosive device’ experienced my hopes up an excessive amount of, because it wasn’t very chocolately or as sweet like I'd expected. Maybe Cacao Explosive device could have been truer towards the flavour. Trying out the Choc Explosive device further, I sprang a different one within the microwave for 25 seconds and located the end result to become far better! By warming the Choc Explosive device, it were built with a more supple bite, and could it have been my imagination, however the flavours appeared a little more robustit now felt like nice little treat.
Used to do benefit from the texture from the Choc Bombalthough densely packed, you can begin to see the chia seeds and cashews through the mixture, plus they provided a pleasant added crunch.
The Choc Explosive device has certainly inspired me to try some protein ball/chocolate health balls at homeendeavouring to sharpen around the chocolately sweetness factor basically can (I'm able to’t help my sweet tooth!). I’ll update yourself on my progress with thatif you've any protein ball recipes to talk about, please!
