Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, in order to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 stick unsalted butter, at 70 degrees
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup uncooked folded oatmeal
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 levels F. Butter and flour a 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Sift the dry ingredients together and hang aside. Within an electric mixer cream the butter, molasses and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat within the egg and add some reserved dry ingredients and blend until just incorporated. Fold in oatmeal, raisins, nuts and chips. Spread dough within an even layer on prepared pan and bake for twenty to thirty minutes or until gently browned. Let awesome on the rack for ten minutes then carefully decline in to bars roughly 3 inches square. Remove bars from pan and permit to awesome completely.

Not a chance. hated it. Why can you call these oatmeal bars whenever you hardly taste the oatmeal. And That I agree you've reached love molasses to love these bars. I'd feed these to the dogs, however i put some choc chips inside them, and dogs aren't designed to eat chocolate. I don't think they'd eat them, without chocolate. I made these oatmeal bars despite the fact that my loved ones thought they'd nothing like them, as it happens they loved them. I didn't have choc chips and so i substituted cinnamon chips, I left the raisins out. I cut the molasses lower to at least oneOr4cup and used 1/4 cup corn syrup too. This recipe is excellent. I wasn't ready for how overbearing the molasses is within these bars. I normally love molasses cookies, but for whatever reason there is something off within this recipe. you need to enjoy molasses to consume these! these were awfull. with no it is not the baker. i've made many receipes from food network in most cases have positive results meaning everybody gobbles up. these. well. your dog ate them and it was happy. if you are searching for doggy snacks you found an excellent receipe. thats the main reason i gave it one star. It's not necessarily a bad recipe, however it's No oatmeal bar - with the flavor and colour of molasses - it's a molasses bar cookie that you simply throw just a little oatmeal into.
