- Pre-heat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
- Put in a mixing bowl the flour, sugar, oatmeal and bicarb and blend together.
- In a tiny saucepan melt the butter on the low heat and add some golden syrup and blend. Pour in to the dry mixture and blend well. (I personally use the K beater to get this done task.) Divide this mixture into 25 to 30 balls and put on the baking tray.
- Bake within the preheated oven for ten to twelve minutes. I usually look into the biscuits in the 10 minute point. The biscuits are cooked whether they have switched golden brown.
- Remove in the oven and put on the wire rack to awesome. Make a mug of tea and revel in it having a freshly baked hob nob biscuit.
Tip
For those who have a a lesser sweet tooth then me, reduce the quantity of sugar and then leave the golden syrup content as reported by the recipe. I've decreased the quantity of sugar to 100g and also the biscuit continues to be scrumptious and moreish.
