Gluten-Free Green spinach and Bacon Quiche with Hashbrowns Crust

  • 3 cups Ore-Ida Shredded Hash Brown Taters, thawed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 (16-ounce) package thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • ½ small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped green spinach, thawed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Press hash browns from a couple of paper towls or perhaps a cheesecloth to empty just as much excess moisture as you possibly can. Inside a 9" cake plate, mix together the hash browns and melted butter. Season with Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper. Lightly press the hash browns in to the bottom or more the edges to create a thin crust. Bake for 25 to 25 minutes before the edes are golden brown and therefore are beginning to crisp. Remove from oven minimizing temperature to 350°F.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the chopped bacon inside a medium skillet over medium-low heat until crisp. Drain on the paper-towel lined plate. Remove basically 1 tablespoon from the bacon grease in the skillet and reserve (keep refrigerated) for an additional use.
  3. Squeeze green spinach among a couple of sponges to get rid of excess moisture.
  4. Add onion towards the skillet using the 1 tablespoon of bacon grease, season with Kosher salt, and prepare for 4-6 minutes, stirring from time to time. Add garlic clove and prepare for one minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Add green spinach and prepare just until mixture is warmed through, about one minute.
  5. Inside a medium mixing bowl, gently beat the eggs, then stir in two and half, bacon, and green spinach mixture. Season with Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper. Pour egg mixture over hashbrown crust and prepare in 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until quiche is light golden brown on the top.
  6. Transfer to some cooling rack and let awesome not less than ten minutes before slicing and serving. Alternatively, let awesome completely, refrigerate, and reheat inside a 350°F oven.

Aughhhhh! This hashbrown crust quiche is BRILLIANT. And, I really like, love, love quiche in the morning. Certainly one of my personal favorite treats which i don’t make nearly frequently enough. But for the quiche that didn’t exercise. To be sure along with you!&...&"Jerkface stupid quiche&". Hahahaha! I LOL’d at this! Pinned!

we're seriously kindred spirits because 1- I absolutely die for quiche. and a pair of- I’ve managed to get before having a hashbrown base which is unreal. this looks seriously ah-mazing, your fam will crush this Easter time morning without a doubt!

This Quiche looks So Great! So I've got a confession. Until lately, I didn’t understand that Ore-Ida potato products were gluten-free. Plenty of companies add yucky items to their goods therefore it’s not necessarily easy to be aware what’s good and just what isn’t. I Really Like these are G-Free in order to securely feed these to my gluten allergic family. #client

Arrived on the scene great. I believed the 1c cheddar cheese entered the egg mixture in the finish.
