How can you awesome lower on the sultry summer time night? Should you prefer a chilly glass of ros? Or perhaps a fruity frozen drink? Here’s what's promising, cocktail fans: for those who have a blender and a piece of ice tray, you will no longer need to choose. Fros—A.K.A. frozen ros—has recently become the “it” drink from the summer time, appearing on trendy cocktail menus everywhere and filling our Instagram feeds. Why is this so? Whirred from the combo of bananas, wine, and grenadine—and prepared with a shot of vodka—this pretty, pink treat is a part adult slushie, one part sangria, and absolutely, totally scrumptious. If you think experimenting, you can swap cherries or raspberries set for the bananas or make use of a a little tart Campari instead of the grenadine. And did we mention it’s easy? (Really: no artisan syrups or industrial blenders needed.) So, a few days ago, give a pitcher of fros for your bbq strategy. In the end, there’s still lots of summer time left to celebrate.
