Wholemeal wrap recipe ukrops white house

Once the Ukrop family found the U . s . States in the Slovak village of Dobr Niva (meaning “Good Meadow”) over a century ago, they introduced together a convention of gathering everybody round the table to talk about a regular meal.

This tradition was initially honored at our family’s supermarket, established in 1937. Founders Frederick and Jacquelin Ukrop routinely offered homemade meals to employees. Their dedication to freshly made foods later grew to become the premise of Ukrop’s prepared foods business. The household eventually increased the chain of Ukrop’s supermarkets to 25 locations throughout Central Virginia.

This Year, Ukrop’s retail locations were sold—but the household retained the manufacturing side from the business. Now referred to as Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, our organization and our 400 associates keep over 800 fresh and great-tasting loaves of bread and chilled prepared foods for well-known retailers in a large number of states.

A person favorite for many years continues to be our unique and attractive White-colored House Rolls®. These rolls were coded in the late 1940s as a result of a search for any perfect yeast roll. These were known as White-colored House Rolls due to the dusting of white-colored flour once the rolls were panned—and simply because they were sufficiently good to serve in the White-colored House! These amazing rolls have grown to be commonplace in a large number of households across central Virginia and beyond.

We're proud to provide our White-colored House Rolls, freshly prepared with wholesome ingredients, to savor over and over while you gather your loved ones round the table.
