Design Innovation. Clusters of Brilliance

The development of each bit of Harry Winston jewellery evolves from the singular need to celebrate the person great thing about each gemstone and also the individual type of each lady they decorate. Using pioneering techniques produced by the House’s master craftsmen and designers, remarkable jewels are handcrafted in delicate platinum, and meticulously handset with simply the greatest quality diamonds and precious gemstones.

In creating the company’s signature style, Mr. Winston introduced a brand new philosophy for fine jewellery design, by which jewels were based on the gemstones themselves, and never the metal these were occur. This new vision for diamonds found him one December night within the 1940s, as he came back the place to find his Scarsdale estate and it was inspired incidentally the new wintry snow glistened on the lush carol wreath hanging on his door. Realizing how a wreath’s elegant dimensions and fluid curves were formed not through the branches, but through the individual leaves, Mr. Winston started to picture a modern day method to craft his jewels, allowing the diamonds to steer each design, instead of their settings.

This innovative idea result in the growth and development of the House’s signature technique, known as clustering, by which different cuts of diamonds – round brilliant, pear, and marquise shapes – are positioned together at different angles, creating highly dimensional bits of jewellery that capture the sunshine every which way leading to unparalleled sparkle.
