Chow mein recipe pick up stix huntington

It was my very first time at get stix believing that I had been obtaining a "healthier" Chinese food I had been very disappointed! The meals was very oily and salty the chow mein sampled like spaghetti which was drenched in soy sauce. It had been very salty the egg rolls weren't crunchy, but instead saturated and oily. The chicken made an appearance not to b cooked completely also it was again salty. The portions were tiny as well. I believed it was likely to taste more home-made bcuz it required some time to obtain our order, but it wasn't! It had been worse than I was expecting! I'll b coming back to Panda Express because it appears healthier to consume there, that we thought was impossible!

It's been many years since i have patronized the Get Stix in Huntington Beach so that as From the, the meals was quite decent then. Not any longer. Today, in the Porter Ranch location I purchased the thai curry lunch special with chicken and noodles. Focus on the term "curry."

After waiting( 10 mins, I had been handed the meals to put into practice the cashier. I required a fast look within the plastic bag and thought I had been because of the wrong order. I was expecting the chicken curry to stay in another container in the noodles but no, things i was handed was simply chow mein having a couple of bits of chicken and vegetables tossed in. I requested, "Where may be the curry?" The cashier stated, "Sorry, it's nothing like the thai restraurants' curry." Huh? Why don't you. Did Get Stix uncover a far more exciting method to make thai curry?

Apparently this Get Stix' form of thai curry would be to slather about 4 tablespoons (or fewer) of some sauce that tastes vaguely like imitation curry to the noodles, which makes them slightly saturated, add chicken and veg and stop hunting! Based on their official website, however, the Thai Coconut Curry comprises "White chicken with fresh eco-friendly beans, red peppers, carrots, white-colored onions and broccoli within our creamy Thai coconut curry." Pardon me? CREAMY.

For many quick Chinese food, Get Stix guaranteed to become fresh and authentic. I had been rather excited to test it the very first time! However, my meal wasn't as great when i'd thought it might be.

I went set for some lunch, and also got a lunch special plate with "General's Orange" (that is essentially Orange Chicken) and chow mein. Rather from the 2 creamcheese wonton sides, I requested for any veggie spring roll. The service after i purchased was good, although not very friendly. My meal required some time to be released, using the wait being about ten minutes. It had been lunchtime, and also the store would be a tad busy, and so i made the decision to miss it. However, when my meal showed up, I had been disappointed: I had been given 1 veggie spring roll, that was decent, however the sauce in the orange chicken had drenched all around the chowmein, making the noodles very dense. Further, the chowmein didn't have vegetables inside it -- it had been literally just pasta. The chicken was dry, and lacked flavor, departing me very disappointed and unsatisfied. The portions for that lunch special were decent, however i left still feeling a little hungry.

I'd like to give this 3 stars, however the chicken just wiped out it for me personally. I most likely won't be coming back in the near future.

Disappointed-- I had been fan of the place for several years. I selected up some remove, House Special chicken, it had been more grease than chicken. I additionally designed a rookie mistake of ordering the Chow Mein - that was mostly soy sauce(noodle sauce). I ought to have purchased the fried or steam grain. We've got a purchase from the Kung Pao shrimp, I believe they didn't remember the shrimp and provided a great helping of veggies and a lot of sauce. I've got a strong stomach and may eat most "bizarre foods", but Get Stix really did several on me. Using the many selections nearby I believe I'll stay obvious of the place in the future and provide other areas a go. I ought to quality food in the crappy Chinese devote the Northridge mall and that's saying something.

I had been so excited to finally try Get Stix however I certainly be sorry. We purchased three orange chicken lunch specials and something entree of beef and brocolli. The woman in the regisyer had such a hard time with understanding our order. It required about 10 min. Our order arrived on the scene to 44 dollars that we was okay with until we received our food. It looked scrumptious but iy all sampled so weird! Everything, such as the grain, chow mein and beef brocolli was super sweet and gooey! I stored dipping my food into hot chili sauce to chop the sweetness. I'm so dissapointed. What is required focus on their recipes. Its not necessary to dump sweet sauces on all of your entrees! Never coming back again.

A few of the food here's Americanized however i don't expect it not to be thinking about that it's franchised upscale junk food that's freshly prepared before you. But a few of the entrees work great. The combos and bowls make the perfect value. The kung pao chicken, pad thai, chow mein. garlic clove shrimp, lemon chicken, and thai tulsi noodles are great. Their appetizers are great especially their dumplings and cream cheese wontons. I suggest brown or white-colored grain within the combos as chinese entrees are usually salty. Their wonton soup is a great add-on just for $1. Their drinks will also be $1 extra. It's nice to consume freshly prepared food with crisp veggies and thoroughly considered ingredients every now and then whenever you don't have time or money to dine in and become anxiously waited on.
