Coconut custard pie crust recipe

I understand this recipe as Impossible Cake which is my absolute favorite - no holiday could be complete without them. It genuinely does make it's own crust which custard always arrives perfect - never watery.

Pretty darned good. Arrived on the scene a great deal flatter than a few of the photos, but I am thinking my cake pan would be a little small. I filled it to capacity (and more) also it almost spilled in the over. Used to do, however, consume the leftover mix that wouldn't squeeze into the pan and microwaved it as being I have read others did. Which Was AMAZING! The next time won't be so impatient (and greedy) and employ a bigger cake plate. Been trying for many years to obtain this sort of a crust for custard cake, utilizing a regular cake crust. duh. Too easy. The next time can make plain custard w/o the coconut in my mother who can't have coconut. Many thanks with this recipeUPDATE - chose to make this again but used hands mixer rather of blender, also it arrived on the scene more separated, like quiche as others mentioned. Made again using the blender, not a problem. Possibly the blender mixes or emulsifies things better? Hope this can help

Wonderful! It was really tasty and thus simple to make! One factor I wish to discuss concerning the review concerning the crust as being a doughy mess. After I was studying the recipe and also got towards the part about dusting the cake pan with flour, I very nearly construed that as while using 1/2 cup of flour within the ingredients list. But it is another dusting of flour, and so the 1/2 cup gets into the blender. I question if that is what went wrong! Another factor the very first time I had been so wanting to consume the cake (it smelled so great!) which i pulled it once the custard ended. However the crust was still being pretty soft. Next time I managed to get, I use it the 2nd cheapest rack within the oven and allow it to prepare for that full hour. That have been effective. The crust continues to be soft - you cannot expect a normal cake crust - however, you cannot beat the simplicity it. Oh, and also the second time I managed to get, I place in an 8 oz. can of bit pineapple (well drained) and reduced the coconut to threeOr4 cup. MMMMM. Appreciate an excellent recipe!
