Raw Grain - 1/2 cup
Moong dal/pasi paruppu - 1/4 cup
Jaggery - 1 cup grated
Cashew nuts -2 tablespoons of
Raisins -2-3 tablespoons of
Cardamom - 4 pods or 1/4 teaspoon powder
Ghee/clarified butter -1/4 cup
Ghee -1/2 teaspoon (for jaggery syrup)

Dry roast grain and dal individually until it's hot to the touch. There is no need to fry until it changes color.

Pressure prepare grain and dal along with 2 1/2 glasses of water. Mash rid of it and it aside. (I have tried personally old grain. For brand new grain, add only two glasses of water.)

If using cardamom pods, peel and powder cardamom. Ensure that it stays aside.

Heat 1/4 cup water inside a pan and add jaggery into it. If this dissolves, filter it to get rid of impurities. Boil jaggery water having a teaspoon of ghee on medium heat. Take a mug of water, give a teaspoon of jaggery syrup into it, if it doesn't dissolve, then it's the best stage to include mashed grain and dal. (I allow it to be very obvious - you don't need to boil the jaggery water until it reaches sticky consistency or string consistency)

Add mashed grain, dal mixture and prepare for any couple of minutes until everything will get blended along with within the picture below. Add cardamom powder at this time.

Fry cashew nuts inside a teaspoon of ghee. Remove from pan and increase the grain dal mixture.

Add all of those other ghee and fry raisins until they puff up and combine it with the grain dal mixture together with ghee.

Prepare for any couple of minutes on low heat until everything will get blended well. Serve hot.
