Cooking time for roast lamb leg recipe
Ingredients
  • 1 leg of lamb, bone in (about 6 1/2 pounds)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 8 cloves garlic clove, minced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary oil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons coarsely ground pepper
  • Sauce:
  • 1 cup chopped fresh herbs (mixture of rosemary oil, chives, and parsley)
  • 2 cups diced onions
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup dark wine
Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 levels F.

Making use of your hands, rub the lamb throughout using the fresh lemon juice. Pat the garlic clove and rosemary oil evenly throughout the top of meat. Season the meat using the pepper and salt and put the lamb inside a roasting pan. Put the lamb within the oven and roast for half an hour. Lessen the oven temperature to 350 levels F and then prepare for around one hour longer for medium-rare, or until a meat thermometer placed into the middle of the roast registers about 145 levels F to 150 levels F (be cautious the thermometer doesn't touch the bone.) Strain before serving, if preferred. Slice lamb and serve with sauce drizzled outrageous.
