We mimicked the brown, caramelized edges achieved through roasting by sauting the sprouts for any couple of extra minutes before adding the liquid.

Serves six to eight

Choose The city sprouts with small, tight heads, a maximum of 1 inches across. Use pure walnut syrup, not pancake syrup.
