Bassaru recipe horse gram chutney

Hurali or Horsegram Bassaru and palya

Hurali or horsegram is an extremely healthy bean that is wealthy in protein, includes a unique flavor. Hurali saaru tastes awesome and it is my in history favorite rasam. I learnt this recipe from the mother. Within this recipe pressure cooked horsegram is drained and also the water is reserved to organize rasam or curry known as Basida Saru or Bassaru. Do this awesome recipe of saaru and palya.


Horsegram: 1 cup

Greengram: 1/4 cup

Grated coconut: 2 tablespoons of

Tomato: 1 big sized

Sambar powder: two to three tablespoons of

onion: 1 big zsized

Gasgase or Khus Khus: 1 tablespoons of

Coriander leaves: chopped 1 tablespoons of

Groundnuts: 2 tablespoons of

Seasoning for palya:
1tsp Bengal gram dal
1tsp Urad dal
1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
Couple of Curry Leaves
2 eco-friendly chillies
1 onion finely chopped

1 tablespoons of oil
Asafoetida

Technique of Saaru/Rasam:

1. Soak Horsegram for 8 hrs or overnight and greengram for just two hrs.

2. Mix both grams, ground nut and Pressure prepare all of them with water for three to four whistles. Let it awesome.

3. Drain the grams and aside. Reserve water to organize a rasam known as Basida Saru or Bassaru.

4. Saute the chopped onions for couple of minutes. Grind onion, a number of steamed gram (horsegram+greengram), gasgase, sambar powder, coriander leaves, tomato and coconut to fine paste.

5. Add this ground masala towards the reserved water from step three. Add salt and blend well. If needed you can include more water. Take it to boil.

5. Prepare the seasoning with mustard seeds and curry leaves. Garnish with corinader leaves.

Serve hot with grain and revel in.

Technique of Palya:

1. Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds. If this starts spluttering add bengal gram dal, urad dal, eco-friendly chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida and onion. Fry for couple of minutes.

2. Now add some cooked horsegram and eco-friendly gram mixture.

3. Add grated coconut and mixwell.

4. add salt and fresh lemon juice and blend well.

5. Garnish with coriander leaves. serve this with with grain or chapati or jolada roti.
