Cuban bistec encebollado recipe salvadoran

A Birthday is Sunday, May twelfth this season. In recognition of all of the very industrious mamas available, I am likely to prepare a simple and favorite dish of numerous a mama - Bistec Salvadoreno. Anytime I have were built with a hard day, my hubby knows he better walk-through the doorway having a plate filled with Bistec Salvadoreno and a few Arroz Negrito. Bistec means "steak" in Spanish. Normally the word "bistec" is combined with the term, "encebollado". Bistec encebollado essentially means "steak and onion stew". The onions are sauteed and placed on the top of or close to the steak. I am not really a huge fan of onions, and so i simply make bistec.

Although bistec means steak, this kind of "steak" is a lot thinner than the usual real bit of steak meat. Actually, bistec is much like one other popular meat, fajita, in that they're both very thin cooked meats. The only real difference is the fact that fajita is usually grilled and never cooked in oil. Scrambled eggs will also be frequently offered with bistec salvadoreno in the finish from the cooking process.

Bistec is usually eaten with grain, tortillas, and hot sauce. Since it is almost A Birthday, I switched the tortillas for many Italian bread with butter to create my lunch somewhat fancier today.

This recipe originates from my wonderful sister-in-law Marilyn. Her bistec is amazing and tastes 100% autentico! It is also the simplest recipe I have seen with this dish. A secret component within this recipe may be the mustard. Mustard is often utilized in many Salvadoran meat recipes to own meat that extra scrumptious sabor. My recipe for pollo guisado also uses mustard like a seasoning sauce.
