Steps To Make Hyderabadi Mutton Dalcha Recipe,Lamb and Dal Recipe

For Tenderising Dal:

  • 2 small cups drenched toovar dal(yellow lentils) or chana dal(bengal gram)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder

For Mutton Curry:

  • 500 gms mutton with bones washed and reduce piece
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • ½ cup onions finely chopped or sliced
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder or eco-friendly chilli paste
  • 2 teaspoon ginger root garlic clove paste
  • 1 cinnamon stick(dalchini)
  • 2 curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 small size bottle gourd(reduce lengthy pieces)
  • 4-6 curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder(powder of dalchini, elaichi, cloves, shahjeera)
  • 1 small lemon sized tamarind, extracted pulp
  • 2-3 tomato plants chopped

For Tenderising Dal:

  1. Inside a pressure oven, add toovar dal, add turmeric powder, add curry leaves, add water and pressure prepare before the dal is tenderised. Prepare it for around ten minutes or 5-6 whistles.

  4. Towards the cooked mutton, add bottle gourd(lauki) slices, salt if needed, pinch of red chilli powder, curry leaves, chopped tomato plants, coriander leaves and pressure prepare again for around 3 whistles for that lauki to obtain soft.
  5. Lastly Combine evrything that's the dal with tamarind pulp and also the mutton curry created using kaddu. Into it add garam masala powder, curry leaves, coriander leaves, then add sugar to get rid of the sour taste(optional).
  6. Bring the entire mixture to some boil.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with grain or bagara khana.

1.I've cooked mutton then added lauki towards the same pressure oven.
2.We are able to Prepare dal with tamarind pulp, mutton curry, lauki individually and mix all of the three then bring a boil, it brings about exactly the same taste.
