cooked hot grain
1 lb hamburger
1 small onion, diced
1 pkg. taco seasoning
grated cheese
shredded lettuce
diced tomato plants
Picant° Sauce or salsa
sour cream
Brown hamburger and onion until done. Add taco seasoning and prepare based on package directions. Simmer until available. Put hot grain in bowls based on everyone's eating desires. Top with meat sauce, grated cheese, shredded lettuce and diced tomato plants. Can also add more cheese to top if you want. Let everybody help themselves to picant° sauce and sour cream.
This belongs to the fundamental recommended food groups within the military communities in Okinawa. It's even offered within the school lunch programs. Most of the small Okinawan restaurants close to the bases get it around the menu also it would not be bingo night in the club with no bowl of taco grain to begin things off!
