Doodhi na muthiya is classic Gujarati breakfast dish produced from a mix of flours, bottle gourd and spices. You may also use remaining grain to create these Muthia Dhoklas. Typically these muthias are pan fried once they are steamed, however in this recipe, I are only adding the seasoning on top to help keep the quotient up with this wholesome breakfast recipe. Serve the Doodhi Na Muthiya Dhokla like a tea time snack, in the morning or perhaps like a light dinner together with Eco-friendly Chutney

Ingredients

2 glasses of canned gourd, peeled and grated

1/4 cup wheat grains flour

1/4 cup gram flour

1/4 cup semolina/ rava

2 teaspoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 tablespoon oil

Ingredients for Seasoning
  • two tablespoons oil

    1 teaspoon mustard seeds

    1 tablespoon sesame seeds

    1/4 teaspoon asafoetida

    five to six curry leaves

    a little couple of chopped coriander leaves

    Directions for Doodhi Na Muthiya Dhokla Recipe

    To start making the Doodhi Na Muthiya Dhokla Recipe, combine grated doodhi, wheat grains flour, gram flour, semolina, yogurt, sugar. red chilli powder. turmeric powder. oil and salt inside a bowl mix well and knead right into a soft dough without needing water.
