With Ganesh Chaturthi nearby many south Indian house holds might have already began the formulations for that festival. This is actually the major festival in south Indian states like Andhra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and in Maharashtra.Within mumbai, the pandals have began their plans as well as god Ganesha seemed to be introduced for their particular pandals. It's nice to determine the power of individuals in Mumbai especially during Ganesh Chaturthi, that is celebrated inside a grand manner.

The first of all factor which comes in your mind when we discuss this festival is Modak/Kudumulu that is Lord Ganesha's favorite.Basically we mostly prepare steamed form of Modak/Kudumulu with assorted fillings like coconut, groundnut, sesame, khus khus and cashew nut stuffings with this festival it's possible to even prepare Karida Kadubu that is Fried Kadubu/Modak.
Celebrations vary from condition to condition,I've pointed out within this publish concerning the celebrations and food inside my mom's place and also the menu is entirely different inside my in-laws and regulations place.Varieties like Medu vada(Gaarelu) ,Pulihora ,Sweet pongal are typical for each festival inside my in-laws and regulations place(the majority of Andhra homes) as well as for Ganesh Chaturthi they add Undrallu, Bellam Kudumulu(grain flour-jaggery dvds) additionally towards the usual festival menu.My typical menu on that day appears like this:- Grain Rava Idli (Nooka Idli) with coconut chutney and Kudumulu in the morning as well as for lunch- a sundal variety, one veg stir fry, Kudumulu. one mixed grain variety, steamed toor dal dumplings or fried Vade,Majjige Huli and something Payasam variety.
Visiting Undrallu recipe,I needed to publish that one specifically for individuals who're searching for simple recipes with this festival. We add minimum salt towards the undrallu recipe and therefore it's appropriate for everyone with either spicy Coconut chutney or any sweet payasam variety like Chana dal payasam or Moong dal payasam also it tastes good either ways.

Grain rava may also be prepared directly by grinding it within the mixer in whipper mode and sieve it.
Notes:
  1. You may also add drenched moong dal together with chana dal within the recipe.
  2. When I designed a neutral version that is best to serve with savory chutney in addition to sweet payasam. If you wish to serve just with savory chutney you may also add cumin seeds before add chana dal within the tempering.May also increase the salt based on your requirement.
