Bnh m is really a traditional Vietnamese sandwich created using a baguette.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup White-colored Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • two tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Fish Sauce (Optional)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Paste (Optional)
  • 1/2 Pound Carrots, Shredded
  • 4 Baguettes
  • 1/2 Pound Roast Pork or Pork
  • 1 Cucumber, quartered lengthwise
  • 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • Hot Chili Sauce (optional)
  • Hot Chili Peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 Cup Cilantro or Italian Parsley

Method

Step One

Mix vinegar with water, sugar and, if preferred, fish sauce and chili paste.

Step Two

Marinate carrots within this mixture in refrigerator not less than 6 hrs.

Step Three

Halve the baguettes, slice open and spread mayonnaise over bread. Top each half having a thin slice of roast pork.

Step Four

Top with carrots, cucumber and cilantro or parsley.

Step Five

Add chili sauce or peppers to taste.
