Abstract

Chinotto (Citrus  × myrtifolia ) is really a uncommon fruit of the Citrus genus, mainly cultivated in small regions of an italian man , territory, in which the primary use concerns the eponymous drink, marketed with the “Chinotto”. The possible lack of details about this fruit highlights the effectiveness of nutraceutical compound portrayal, along with the have to identify genuineness markers in derived commercial products.

An analytical strategy according to SPE-HPLC-F was created to recognize and evaluate different bioactive compounds in Chinotto (Citrus  × myrtifolia ) fruits and commercial beverages. The technique was fully validated and effectively put on case study of nutraceutical compounds in Chinotto fruits of Italian origin as well as in some Chinotto-based beverages, granting consistent and reliable data. The acquired results provided preliminary key details about the bioactive profiling of Citrus  × myrtifolia and demonstrated the appropriateness from the selected compounds as authenticity markers of derived commercial sodas.
