  • 1/2 cup chana dal
  • 1 small lauki (reduce small pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 4 teaspoons dhaniya powder
  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. Soak chana dal in serious trouble for ten minutes and boil it.
  2. Heat oil inside a pan, add cumin seeds so when they turn brown, add onion and garlic clove. Prepare it till it turns light pink.
  3. Add lauki, chana dal and all sorts of dry masala inside it. Prepare for just two minutes, add 1/2 cup water and allow it to prepare till lauki is soft and tender. Serve hot with chapatis.
