Easy guava duff recipe video
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
3 cups flour, all-purpose
2 teaspoons baking powder
  1. Cream the butter and sugar together.
  2. Add some eggs, guava pulp, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Beat until smooth.
  3. Sift the flour and baking powder together. Work the guava mixture in to the flour to create a stiff dough. (Increase the flour as needed.)
  4. Put the dough inside a 2 ½ quart heat-proof bowl. Cover with lid or foil.
  5. Place bowl onto a rack inside a pan. Add water in order that it reaches midway in the bowl.
  6. Steam for several hrs. Serve with Butter Sauce (recipe below) or perhaps a hard sauce.

two tablespoons butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg, separated
1-3 tablespoons warm water

  1. Cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Add some egg yolk.
  3. Beat the egg white-colored until stiff although not dry.
  4. Fold egg white-colored into butter mixture.
  5. Add warm water, a teaspoon at any given time, to create a smooth sauce.

It is really an old recipe- the eggs aren't cooked. Use pasturized eggs to avoid food bourne illnesses.
