Don't allow the seem of ox tails turn you off. This dish will surpise you. Ox tails have lots of flavor and surprisingly lots of meat.I created this recipe by myself, so my measurement aren't exact( I kinda just add a bit of this and a bit of that). You can alter this for your own taste. THis is among my families favorites. Its kinda like pot roast except it's more flavor. This really is good offered on the bed of grain or with of some mashed taters which has the gravy on the top from it.

  1. Season ox tails with salt, pepper and garlic clove powder.
  2. Heat oil in bottom of huge pot.
  3. Brown tails on every side.
  4. Remove tails and add chopped vegatables to pot and saute until tender.
  5. Add some tails back to pot then pour beer over mixture, deglazing all of the brown bits off the foot of pan.
  6. Drop a bullion cube inches.
  7. Cover and simmer for around 2 hrs or until tails are tender.
  8. If preferred, thicken juices with corn starch and water mixture.

I virtually chose to make this similar to the recipe states, after some under 2 lbs. of ox tails. It had been excellent, though I recommend marjoram or tulsi the next time. I made use of Budweiser for that beer, and cooked inside a crockpot on high for 3 hrs.

It was a great base recipe which i added more ingredients according to other recipes from Recipezaar. I cooked it for six hrs also it fell from the bone. My hubby, boy and daughter really loved it. I'm wondering that which was missing and it is the boullion. Will certainly make again.
