Now we're stepping into hard stuff. Ponche de Crme or Punch ah Crme is among our homemade alcoholic drinks that we like to consume throughout the Christmas season. And being 100% Trini, I made the decision which i should have some within my fridge for Christmas. I'm which makes it was easy and straightforward, and that i completely savoured my first glass for that season. I possibly could have shared mine along with you all, but we haven’t mastered teleporting food and drinks on the internet up to now. So in the meantime this is actually the recipe that you should try :^)
Ponche De Crme Recipe
PONCHE DE CRME
4 eggs
1 tin condensed milk (390g)
1 carton evaporated milk (250ml)
1/2 bottle rum (approximately 1 1/2 cups)
3 tablespoons of. Angostura aromatic bitters
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
2 teaspoon. lemon zest (optional)
Tip: Because this recipe uses raw eggs you might want to pasteurize the eggs by heating it inside a double boiler, or bowl placed over water inside a sauce pan, stirring constantly while keeping the high temperature at 140 ° F for 3 . 5 minutes.
The lemon zest can be used to chop the new odor of the eggs but considering the variety of alcohol used, I don’t believe it is necessary. We didn't utilize it and also the ponche de crme still arrived on the scene OK though, I still thought it might did with a few more rum :^)

Punch a cream and rum punch and black cake. Christmas is incorporated in the air when that infusion goes.
I totally agree lol &...Still hearing kitch singing drink ah rum and ah punch ah creamah&...&....
Hi Felix, I've enjoyed every recipe I've discovered in your site. Cleaning it once a the punch a creme yesterday also it looked great and sampled ok. I only say ok since i couldn’t find Old Oak or Barcadi within our liquor store within the Whitby area. What's your suggestion regarding the best rum to make use of? Used to do use Barcadi Cuban rum. Thanks Felix for always finding yourself in our kitchen. Yes, Kitchener is singing in my experience at this time. )
I possibly could easily say rum is rum but the treatment depends in your taste. Within Trinidad we use Vat 19 rum or Puncheon rum depending on how strong you would like your ponche de crme. I take advantage of punchoen rum as it is 75% alcohol/volume&....You receive a faster mind lol
