The gear we made the decision on for recording would be a Shure Beta 87A condenser microphone with placement at 4.5” from the middle of the loudspeakers. The amplifier would be a Fender Vintage Reissue ’65 Twin Reverb. We used input 1 around the Normal funnel using the vibrant turn off and all sorts of knobs at 12 o’clock. Each speaker was set up in single.45 cu. foot. sealed enclosure with exception towards the FDM models using the built-in attenuator feature (ReignMaker and Maverick). For that FDM’s, we used a couple合 open back cabinet. Our recording software was Logic Pro. The monitoring system was an HT805 SLS Audio studio monitor, a Yamaha MG166C mixer, along with a Crown XTi amplifier.
