Recipe for nabisco brown edged cookies

EXCELLENT, similar to the recipe I lost from the mother. An easy and delicate cookie. Perfect with tea. I make mine bigger than "marble" size. My mother never built them into with pecans, so my preference is biased toward no nuts -- you can't wreck havoc on childhood recollections. -)

Excellant Recipe! Finally, I'm able to enjoy Brown Edge Wafers again. Per the recipe, these cookies arrived on the scene about 1 1/2 " (4 cm) across contributing to 1/3 inch (1 cm) thick. I learned to like these cookies through the store-bought version that Nabisco accustomed to sell, that have been bigger across along with a little thiner. To emulate them, I made mine using 1 " (2.5 cm) balls of dough that we flattened to at least oneOr4 inch (baking there was a time exactly the same). It made about 45 cookies. I additionally elevated the vanilla to at least one 1/2 teaspoon. simply because I Really Like vanilla. I did not have pecans, and so i left them out.

Excellent recipe! It was a household favorite for generations, however the recipe died with my great aunt. I built them into this season to surprise my loved ones plus they were an absolute hit! To be sure the pecan is completely unnecessary -- this can be a pure food and cannot be adulterated :) Also, I made my second batch a little bigger than known as for within this recipe. This enables for additional contrast using the buttery-yellow centers and also the crispy brond edges. An absolute must-alllow for the holiday season!
