or at best things i could gather from epi 1 of GCC. if anybody really wants to dispute the amounts or make changes feel free. sounding just like a great sunday lunch. benefit from the recipe!!
(tho i dont recall any honey getting used within the TV version)
Pappa Wans-honey glazed char siu pork
(to help keep the copywrite police happy, this is actually the
DISCLAIMER. information found in this recipe comes from episode one
of Gok Cooks Chinese. and today to the recipe. )
a few of the measurements received within the episode, others were
1 pork loin (between 500g and 1kg)(G)
for that marinade
2 cloves of garlic clove, finely chopped
hoisin sauce (appeared as if ALOT, maybe four to five good/heaped Tablespoons of) (G)
yellow bean sauce (no amount was handed however i thought i heard pappa wan
say 2 as he was requested about this. 2 Tablespoons of (G)
2 big slices of ginger root, julienned
5 spice powder (it appeared as if he was utilizing a teaspoon, maybe 1 Teaspoon)
star anise (no quanity was handed, i'm working a minumum of one)(G)
(i'd mix these products inside a seperate bowl first to obtain the balance of
flavour right them pour it to the pork loin)
place loin inside a bowl large enough for this and canopy with marinade. lightly
massage in to the pork. cover bowl with cling film and chill in
fridge not less than 2 hrs (i believe the greater the greater)
preheat oven to 210C. put pork inside a roasting tray and canopy with any
remaining marinade (i'd make use of a baking dish) and prepare at 210C for 10
mins, then turn oven lower to 180C for 40 mins
(i'd allow the loin rest for 25 mins, then slice up and serve)
