Summer time time is the best opportunity enjoy refreshing salad, especially when it's hefty enough to enjoy like a meal. I believe there's no finer lunch available within the warm weather when every bite is fresh, tangy, nutty, sweet, and sour all-in-one.

I will suggest the normal ingredients to create this salad, including fried tofu (this can be a must), bakwan (fritters ) of your liking, shredded lettuce leaves, tomato and cucumber cubes.   • 200 gram firm tofu, reduce 1 " cubes, fried until golden brown

  • 100 gram peanut, fried or roasted
  • 50 gram palm sugar (Indonesian: gula Jawa)
  • 50 gram Chinese celery (Indonesian: daun seledri) (*)
  • 3 cloves garlic clove
  • 2 red red pepper cayenne (Indonesian: cabe merah keriting) (**)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 500 ml water
  • 120 ml sweet soy sauce (Indonesian: kecap manis)
  • juice of 5 limes
  1. Divide the salad ingredients into 6 salad plates/bowls.
  2. To help make the dressing, grind peanut, palm sugar, Chinese celery, garlic clove, red pepper cayenne, and salt inside a mixer. Transfer to some mixing bowl, add all of those other dressing ingredients, and blend well. Divide into six portions.
  3. Serve the salad along with the peanut sauce dressing.

(*) Use regular celery if you fail to find Chinese celery, use because the leaves as you possibly can.
(**) Use bird eye chilies (Indonesian: cabe rawit) for any spicier dressing.
