How funny. I published the same Texas Hot Sauce in 2007. I suppose I did not see yours first. I increased up about ten minutes from Rudy's right near SUNY Oswego and ate lots of this! My mother got this recipe sometime during the 60's whenever we resided there. You will find, supposedly it's from Rudy's around the Loop. I'm going to ask her who gave it to her. I really purchase the packages from rudys to create there texas hot sauce. For the person who stated onions were only on top isn't correct. when creating the particular spice packets you have to give a fouth cup of chopped onions towards the sauce. Even Though It dosnt provide you with the exact spices just states secret spices. all of those other ingred. are 2 pounds of hamburger. 8 oz. of tomato sauce. 1/2 cup of veg shorting (not the liquid) 1/4 cup chopped onion and just 8 oz water. This will make 3 pints of Rudys actual texas hot sauce.
I've been to Rudy's numerous some time and increased up in the region. This is not even close.
