The majority of the shrimp trucks on Oahu's northern coast can be found close to the capital of scotland- Kahuku, that is a well-known shrimp aquaculture area, but you'll also find shrimp for purchase in a number of other areas across the road between Kualoa and Hale'iwa.

Shrimp plates are purchased in the home windows of those shrimp trucks, which is ususually offered with two scoops of grain, and often macaroni salad, a eco-friendly salad, pineapple slices, and/or perhaps a lemon slice. Plain unadorned shrimp can be obtained, but typically the most popular shrimp plates have garlic clove, lemon butter, hot, sweet and spicy, or perhaps a soy-based sauce. The final time I ate in a shrimp truck the costs were about $10-12 USD per plate.

The shrimp offered at these methods is scrumptious, but it's also unpeeled, sometimes unveined, and incredibly untidy to consume. Make sure get lots of napkins. A few of the shrimp truck locations have covered picnic tables with hawaiian music is playing.

I've heard that service at some trucks isn't friendly, however the people at Fumi's were very and smiling the final time I had been there.
