Instant spice tea tang recipe

Hot Spiced Tea from TANG

1 1/3 cups TANG
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup instant tea*
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves

Combine ingredients and store in tightly covered jar.

Makes roughly 24 servings.

FOR 1 SERVING Place 1 well-rounded teaspoon of add just one cup, fill with boiling water and stir until dissolved.

FOR 1 QUART Dissolve 1/2 cup add 1 quart of boiling water inside a teapot or heat-resistant pitcher.

*Or use lemon-flavored unsweetened or sugar-sweetened instant tea.

Wow, this should be the real recipe. There are plenty of variations of hot spiced tea recipes going swimming around the internet. I have not seen one from a real Tang ad before.

This is actually the right recipe- my loved ones accustomed to get this to after i would be a kid, becoming an adult lower south. We used the recipe in the Tang jar. I’m so glad I discovered this- I’m residing in the Yankee North, now :-) and will also be creating batches to provide as Gifts.

I recall my mother making hot tang for me personally after i was sick. I cheat around the recipe and employ chai tea and combine it with tang =)

My Mother used to create a Russian Tea Mix with Tang. It had Instant Tea(or Bigleo Constant Comment Tea?), Brown sugar, cinnemon, nutmeg, clove ( maybe apple cake spices)- individuals would be the flavors I recall. I’ll seek advice from my sister over Thanksgiving attempt to make sure to repost.
