My 13 years old daughter selected making this recipe for the Thanksgiving dinner. Sweet taters aren't part of our tradition, which means this would be a new experience for all of us. Emily and that i thought these were great, my 16 years old boy rated them excellent, and my hubby (not really a yams fan whatsoever) a minimum of gave them a go. I loved adding the vanilla and nutmeg within this recipe, and also the taters smelled heavenly while baking. Emily capped all of them with a couple of small marshmallows since it is exactly what she'd heard sweet taters should alway have. The marshmallows virtually melted and disappeared in to the taters. I especially loved the taters once they mixed along with cranberry sauce on my small dinner plate. Yumm, nice mixture of sweet and tart!
We made these for Thanksgiving. Us really enjoyed them. didn't have left overs. Can make again.
This recipe was excellent and simple to create. I did not make use of the orange zest the recipe known as for and that i used canned sweet taters rather of fresh ones to reduce time(I made use of 4 small cans). Plenty of compliments about this one!
