Sweet Corn Curry with Peas Pulao

Sweet corn is a lot loved within our home and of any type especially charcoal roasted corn around the cob (butta) with a combination of salt, chili powder and fresh lemon juice sprinkled regarding this. Nehal is keen on creamy corn with pasta or corn fritters while Satish and I love to relish it by means of a curry with roti or flavored grain. With many different fresh corn cobs relaxing in my fridge, because of a dear friend, I continued a sweet corn binge a couple of days. Made bread pizza with sweet corn, steamed corn cobs, vegetable au gratin with corn as being a star player, corn vadas with a lot of coriander and sweet corn curry to choose peas pulao .

Ingredients

  • Sweet corn kernels - 2 cups
  • Capsicum - 1, chopped into small pieces (optional)
  • Onion - 1, large, finely chopped
  • Eco-friendly chilies - 2, slit length wise
  • Ginger root garlic clove paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi - 1 teaspoon, gently crushed
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsps
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato plants - 2, finely chopped
  • Cashew nuts - 5, absorb 3 tbsps milk making a smooth paste.
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tbsps, finely chopped
  • Fresh cream - 1 tablespoons of (or malai)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 1/2 tbsps

Method

  1. Heat oil inside a cooking vessel. Once hot, add some onions and saute till transparent Add eco-friendly chilies and ginger root garlic clove paste and saute for several mts on low to medium flame. Add capsicum pieces and saute for five mts.
  2. Add kasuri methi and saute for just two mts. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix.
  3. Add some tomato plants and saute till oil separates. Add corn and blend. Place lid and prepare for 4 mts. Add 1 / 2 of the coriander leaves and 11/2 cups water and produce to some boil.
  4. Place lid and lower flame and prepare for 15-18 mts. Add garam masala powder, cashew nut paste and blend. Prepare for just two tms. Add fresh cream and blend continuously for any mt on low flame. Switch off heat.
  5. Remove towards the serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with roti, naan or flavored grain.
