After I was more youthful an Amaretto Sour was the very first cocktail I learned to create in your own home. It's certainly one of individuals, OH- this doesn't taste like alchohol Whatsoever. perfect! drinks. It had been love initially sip.

Years later, I no more drink Amaretto Sours, however i thought it may be fun to re-live the great ole' days having a fresher homemade form of my initial favorite mixed drink. 2 cups fresh lemon and lime juice (strain the pulp)

First, combine water and sugar in a tiny pot and simmer before the sugar completely dissolves. Turn lower heat and add some lemon and lime juice. Remove from heat and allow the mixture prepare before straining it your final time into an airtight glass container.

Keeps for at least two days within the refrigerator. You don't have to refrigerate more syrups, but I love to when there's a higher content of fresh ingredients, therefore it lasts a bit longer. After your mixture is totally awesome, you are able to funnel it into another container and give a pour spout to the peak. Of course- bonuses for any cute homemade label!  Amaretto Sour (for nostalgia's sake! it's the simplest recipe ever.) 

1 part Amaretto Almond Liqueur
1 part homemade sour mix 

Pour both ingredients right into a glass full of ice. Mix having a spoon. Garnish having a cherry as well as an orange or lemon slice. Too sweet? Substitute half the Amaretto for Whiskey. ) Cheers! xo. Elsie
