Paruppu Poli / Sweet poli is also referred to as Puran Poli is an extremely famous diwali sweet.There's two primary variations of sweet poli they differ within their stuffing one is full of coconut along with other is full of channa dal( kadalai paruppu ). This sweet poli recipe is enjoyed by both children and grown ups.
There's two primary aspects of this recipe the first is the preparation from the sweet stuffing and also the preparation from the dough
Ingredients :
1 cup maida / All-purpose flour
pinch of turmeric powder
pinch of salt
water under 1/2 cup
2 tablespoons of oil
1/2 cup Channa dal / kadalai paruppu
1 cup Jaggery
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoons of ghee/clarified butter
Directions:
1. First lets begin with dough add maida,turmeric powder,saltand progressively add water and knead it right into a soft dough
2. When the dough is prepared apply some oil to coat the top of dough and let it rest for minimum two to three hrs
3. to create sweet filling prepare channa dal / kadalai paruppu after which add jaggery and prepare it before the mixture thickens up as well as add 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder
4. Now have a small area of the dough and spread it and put the sweet mixture in the center and canopy it using the dough
5. And roll it right into a thin sheet if u see some stuffing at first glance that fine it doesn’t need to be perfect
Preparation Time: forty-five minutes
Resting time. 2-3 hrs
