This green spinach casserole is simple to throw together. For those who have certain spice mixtures or salad dressing seasonings that you want, you can add them. It's simple to adapt. One factor I love to do, based on things i'm serving the casserole with, would be to add half a teaspoon of Chinese Five Spice Powder for any different twist.
Ingredients
- 2 boxes frozen chopped green spinach, 10 oz each
- ¼ chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon oil or butter
- 1 8-oz package cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or perhaps a mixture is great)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic clove powder
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt or any other spice mixture to taste
- 1-2 Tablespoon dry white-colored wine for those who have it around
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice without having your wine
- 1 drop liquid sweetener or perhaps a pinch of the powder (just a little to balance flavors)
- two tablespoons grated Mozzarella dairy product (not the dried kind within the can)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Defrost green spinach within the boxes or perhaps in a couple-quart casserole dish.
Fry onion within the oil or butter until it starts to soften.
Mix all ingredients aside from the Mozzarella dairy product within the casserole dish. Sprinkle Parmesan on the top.
Bake for 40-forty-five minutes or until knife placed within the center arrives neat and cheese on the top starts to brown.
Makes 8 servings.
