Garlic karam podi recipe for rice

Paruppu podi we make generally without adding garlic clove. I've published the recipe of paruppu podi HERE .
This recipe of andhra style paruppu podi kandi podi, i learnt from the friend. I've already published a Pottukadalai podi too. This podi was too flavourful. I did not allow it to be very spicy however if you simply want you can include extra couple of red chilly. This can be a simple and easy podi recipe, taste divine when combined with hot grain and ghee.

Preparation Time :ten mins Cooking :ten mins Yields. 1 cup

Toor dal 1/2 cup
Pepper 6
Red chilli 8
Roasted gram pottukadalai 2 tblsp
Garlic clove 15 pods
Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
Salt when needed
Oil 1 teaspoon

Method:
  • Inside a pan add oil and roast the toor dal and roasted gram. Roast it inside a low flame till it might be golden brown color. Take care not to have it burnt. Else it'll spoil the flavour.

  • Ensure that it stays aside and roast the garlic clove. Really i added 7 garlic clove pods but after tasting i felt i needs more to obtain the flavor. Once the garlic clove will get roasted, add salt for this and turn off the flame.
  • Allow something to awesome.
