Moong dal (Split eco-friendly gram skinless) – cup
Water – 1 cups + 1 cup
Oil – two tablespoons
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – teaspoon
Asafoetida – a pinch
Ginger root paste – 2 teaspoons
Garlic clove paste – 2 teaspoons
Eco-friendly chilies – 4 in order to taste, finely chopped
Onion – 1 medium, chopped
Turmeric powder – teaspoon
Red chili powder – teaspoon
Green spinach leaves – 1 cups, chopped (about 50 leaves)
Fresh lemon juice – 2 teaspoons
Salt – to taste

Steps to make Palak Moong Dal (Step-by-step Recipe with Photos):

1) Wash moong dal inside a running cold water until water runs obvious.

2) Add into pressure oven with 1 glasses of water and prepare it for 2 whistles on medium heat. Allow the pressure go lower alone, open the coverage and the dal aside.

3) Heat the oil inside a pan on medium heat.Once hot add cumin seeds. Allow them to sizzle.

5) Add onions and salt. Mix well.

7) Add turmeric powder and red chili powder.

9) Add chopped green spinach.

11) Add cooked dal and 1 cup water.

13) Finally add fresh lemon juice and blend.

Otherwise serving immediately then keep your pan covered to help keep the dal warm for a while.

  8. Add cooked dal and 1 cup water.
  9. Mix well. Allow it to arrived at boil and allow it to simmer for just two-3 minutes.
  10. Finally add fresh lemon juice and blend. Switch off heat and serve hot.
