  • To not my taste sorry! The end result didn't retain the needed balance of flavours to become known as a Chutney, nor did the color come out so dark. I made use of beautiful ripe tomato plants to ensure that wasn't the issue. The recipe did not indicate the tomato plants ought to be peeled nor made it happen give enough info on cooking after completing simmering time. It simply did not taste like Chutney in my experience. I'll still utilize it but, I would not offer it to my visitors.

    To not my taste sorry. This tomato chutney sampled a lot more like tomato jam with a little vinegar flavour. The total amount of flavours didn't achieve the needed taste so that it is known as a Chutney.

    Scrumptious! Chose to make this with all of the my summer time tomato plants and it is stored happily inside a dark cupboard during the last four several weeks (unopened jars). I have had two demands let's focus on more, so will need to use shop bought tomato plants in the intervening time.

    Super tasty and simple to create. I added a bit more vinegar to counterbalance the sweetness. Certainly peel the tomato plants first. Create a little X formed decline in them after which cover with boiling water inside a bowl for any couple of minutes and so the skins will slip quickly. Wish I'd carried this out first, instead of choosing tough skins! I made 4 small jars.

    I modified it slightly to match my taste:
    150g demerara, 1 chopped apple, 4 chillies,1 tablespoons of crushed coriander seed pepper, white-colored onions, handful sultanas handful finely chopped prepared to eat prunes. Overlooked cardamom but remainder of recipe exactly the same - certainly better!
