Vegan pesto sauce recipe with miso

Vegan pesto sauce recipe with miso

From the very first time I put this pesto together, it grew to become a regular accessory for daily menus. Serve this excellent and colorful pesto thrown with hot pasta or like a dip or spread for chips, crackers, or raw vegetables. You may also add a bit more oil and a few vinegar to create a tasty salad dressing. Hemp seed includes a unique nutty flavor plus all the essential proteins and both omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids. You are able to serve this being an appetizer in bite-size pastry shells.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cilantro (3 ounces)
  • two to four cloves garlic clove
  • 1/2 cup raw cashews or hulled hemp seeds
  • two tablespoons sweet white-colored miso, mellow white-colored miso or sweet barley miso
  • two tablespoons essential olive oil (optional)

Directions

  1. Inside a mixer, chop the cilantro and garlic clove until minced.
  2. Add some cashews, miso, and essential olive oil, and process until well blended.
