- *Note: some cooks choose to leave kale ribs and stalks intact-your decision. With respect to the number of kale, when the stalks and ribs are thick, I take them off. A salad spinner is handy for laundry the kale.
- Shred kale finely and put inside a steamer basket built in a pot. Be sure to give a couple inches water towards the pot!
- Toss in the garlic clove.
- Bring water towards the boil. Cover pan, reduce heat to low and steam kale for roughly ten minutes, or until tender.
- Remove from heat to serving dish. Toss with some oil of preference, if preferred.
- Season with salt and cracked pepper to taste.
