Crockpot Pork Chops
SERVES 8 ACTIVE TIME 5 Min TOTAL TIME 7 Hrs a few minutes
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1-3 tablespoon red chile paste (I made use of Gourmet Garden)
1 teaspoon minced garlic clove
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3-5 pounds boneless pork chops (thick cut 1"- 1 1/2")
1/4 cup corn starch
Add ingredients (except pork chops and corn starch) inside a 6-quart slow oven. Stir to mix. Add pork chops. Toss to coat using the sauce. Prepare on low 6 hrs.
After 6 hrs, combine equal amounts corn starch and water inside a mason jar. Close the lid, to close the jar. Shake the living tar from it, to produce a slurry. Add some slurry towards the crockpot. Stir and canopy, prepare another hour.

DONNA'S NOTES: Add chili paste based on your preferred heat level. We used 3 tablespoons once we just like a little kick. If you like it more mild add less, or omit it altogether. It's fabulous in either case.
