
Ingredients
- Caesar Salad Dressing:
- 6 cloves garlic clove, mashed and minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- two tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup essential olive oil
- Fresh lemon juice, for seasoning
- Minced anchovy fillets, optional
- Caesar Salad Croutons:
- 1 baguette
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic clove powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- Romaine lettuce, for serving
- Freshly grated Parmesan, for serving
Directions
For that Caesar salad dressing. Combine the garlic clove, mustard, vinegar and 2 pinches of salt inside a blender and blend completely. Add some mayonnaise and blend together to create a thick base. Inside a slow stream add some essential olive oil with the hole in lid. Scrape the dressing with spatula right into a bowl and season to taste with salt, pepper and fresh lemon juice. If preferred, then add anchovy towards the dressing to produce a much deeper, saltier taste.
For that Caesar salad croutons: Cut the baguette into cubes. Melt the butter inside a skillet and add some garlic clove powder, paprika and pepper. Add some bread cubes and saute just before the bread cubes start to brown. Put aside to awesome.
Wash and dry the lettuce. Inside a large salad bowl, combine the lettuce, dressing and croutons. Top with freshly grated Parmesan. Toss lightly to mix well.
