Stir Fried Eco-friendly Beans with Ginger root and Onions Recipe

This recipe leads to eco-friendly beans that also have a little bit of crunch for them. If you would like your beans more cooked, blanch them first for just a few minutes in boiling water, then rinse with cold water to prevent the cooking, then pat dry with sponges before putting the beans within the hot pan and oil.

Due to the quick cooking, this recipe is better completed with fresh beans (those that snap while you break them in two).

Ingredients

  • two to three Tablespoons of canola or any other high smoke point oil
  • 1/2 pound to threeOr4 pound of fresh, tender, crisp eco-friendly beans, reduce 1 1/2 to two inch pieces
  • 1 small yellow or white-colored onion, sliced root to stem (observe how to slice an onion ), about 1 cup of sliced onion
  • 1 ounce of fresh ginger root, peeled and reduce matchsticks (observe how to peel and cut ginger root )
  • 1 large garlic clove clove, sliced very thin
  • 2 Tablespoons of soy sauce (use gluten-free soy sauce for gluten-free version)
  • 1 Tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

Method

1 Heat oil inside a wok until shimmery hot: Heat a wok or large fry pan over high temperature around the hottest burner you've for around 90 seconds. Add some vegetable oil and allow it to warm up until shimmery.

(Toss a sliver of onion in to the oil whenever you think it's hot. When the oil is hot enough, the onion will sizzle.)

2 Add eco-friendly beans, onions, ginger root, then garlic clove: Add some cut eco-friendly beans, sliced onions and julienned ginger root and toss to mix. Split up any clumps of sliced onion that may have stuck together.

Spread everything in the pan and allow it to sear untouched for between 30-90 seconds, you need to obtain a little browning around the vegetables. Stir the vegetables and let take another 30-90 seconds.

Add some sliced garlic clove, stir again and prepare for an additional minute.

3 Add combination of soy sauce and sugar, stir fry a couple of seconds: Mix the soy sauce and sugar together and pour in to the pan. Switch off heat and immediately chuck the ball vegetables to mix. The sauce will begin to caramelize and could burn unless of course you retain everything moving for any couple of seconds.

4 Add sesame oil and pepper: Pour the sesame oil within the eco-friendly beans and onions and sprinkle with pepper. Toss to mix once more. Serve immediately or let rest and serve at 70 degrees.
