Basmati Grain 1 cup
Mixed veggies* 1 and 1/2 cup
Water 1 and 1/4 cup
Red chili powder 3/4 teaspoon
Ginger root a little piece
Garlic clove 3-4 pods
Mint leaves a few
Sombu fennel 1/4 teaspoon
Bay leaf cardamom 1
Onion 1
Tomato 1/2
Oil 2 tblsp
Ghee 1/2 teaspoon
Salt when needed
*I made use of carrot, beans, eco-friendly peas and potato. You can include cauliflower, frozen corn, broccoli,butter beans and capsicum too.
- Wash the grain and soak it for 25 minutes in 1 and 1/4 cup water.
- Mean time chop the veggies and slice the onions and tomato plants.
- Grind the mint leaves, fennel. ginger root, and garlic clove right into a very fine paste.( use little water in the drenched water within the grain for grinding. Don't add extra water.)
- Inside a pressure oven add oil and ghee and include the cardamom pods and add some sliced onions.
- If this turns translucent include the tomato plants. Saute for any couple of minutes .
- Add some ground mint paste and saute for couple of minutes inside a low flame. Allow the raw odor of the garlic clove disappear.

Note:
- You are able to replace red chilli powder with sambar powder.
- My mother grinds 2-3 eco-friendly chillies combined with the mint leaves and don’t add red chilli powder or sambar powder.
- You are able to skip adding turmeric powder too.
- My mother grind couple of coriander leaves too.
- Bay leaves could be added while adding cardamom.
